The range · finishes & hardware

Finishes &
hardware.

The colour, the coating underneath it, the hardware in your hand and the glass in the frame — the four decisions that make a steel opening yours.

Four house colours.
Or any RAL.

The house palette covers most briefs — a true matte black, a soft white, a deep green and a brushed bronze. Beyond it, the full RAL range is available on request: if you have a specific colour in mind, we can source it. Colour is chosen per order and applied as part of the coating process below, so a custom colour changes nothing about lead time or build.

The finish is a
process, not a paint.

Steel earns its coastal reputation through what happens before the colour goes on. Every unit runs the same multi-stage corrosion-protection process — blast, prime, coat — and the same finish ships whether the opening faces a courtyard or the Tasman. In harsh coastal exposure, expect to wash and inspect quarterly, the same as your cladding and roofing.

01

Grit blast

Blasted to a near-white SA 2.5 standard — the foundation every coating needs to bond to.

02

Sealing primer

A primer seals the surface and starts the corrosion barrier.

03

High-durable topcoat

The chosen colour, applied as a durable, hard-wearing finish.

04

150–180 microns

Total film build engineered for longevity, coastal exposure included.

The part
you touch.

Steel sections are too slim to house hardware inside the leaf, so external doors carry a lockbox — notched at handle height, or run full height — and the hardware mounts to it. Three families cover the range; each is matched to the styles it suits when your order is specified.

Glass, matched
to the suite.

The suite sets what the frame can take — from single glazing in the slim internal suites to insulated low-E units in the thermally broken range. Within that, the glass itself is a choice: clear, textured for privacy, or laminated where sound and security matter. We confirm the exact make-up for your project and wind zone on shop drawings.

Steel joinery is complicated to make — every joint welded, ground and finished by hand. Bring us in early with your architect and the timeline takes care of itself. Specify it at the start, not the end.
